Lynn Martindale studied at the University of Hawaii and New York University where she received her B.M. and M.A degrees in voice and vocal performance studies. Performance engagements include the Music Academy of the West; Euterpe Opera; San Diego Opera; Zurich Opera; Stadt Theater Bielefeld and Theater Bremen in such roles as Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte; Micaela in Carmen; the Countess in Marriage of Figaro; the Marschallin in Rosenkavalier; Mimi in La Boheme; Vicclinda in I Lombardi; the First Lady in the Magic Flute; the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos; and Tatana in Oniegin.
Ms. Martindale has taught Applied Voice, Class Voice and Song Performance at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, Lee Strasberg Institute, Manhattan School of Music, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Florida Gulf Coat University and Florida Southwestern State College. In 2012, she moved to Fort Myers and opened the Linhart Voice Studio, which offers classes in private voice and vocal performance. She continues to serve on the Panel of Experts for Career Bridges, a NY based foundation that provides feedback and study awards to young opera singers; as well on the Board of Trustees for ENCOMPASS New Opera Theater. Recently, she was elected as President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Associate of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
