The Theory of Everything, an opera exploring science, spirituality and indigenous cosmology, was commissioned and developed by Encompass, and is now being orchestrated by composer John David Earnest. With a libretto by Nancy Rhodes, plans for a major production are in the works.

Introducing Daniel Schlosberg, a dynamic, young composer/pianist who is writing a new opera which Encompass will be developing over the next few seasons.

Roger Trefousse, "The Colors Aria" from the chamber opera entitled Found Objects. Roger has composed for Encompass and other companies including  BAM and Mannes Opera . Found Objects is written in a "found" language, and describes
a summer trip by car from New York to Maine. The text is made up of "objects" such as roadside signs, newspaper headlines, overheard scraps of conversation and distorted fragments of popular songs, and is taken directly from the outer
landscape, sometimes literally, sometimes filtered through the unconscious.
