Music from around the world honoring the global family forced from their homes and the resilience of the human spirit, featuring music by Samuel Barber, Aaron Copland, Ricky Ian Gordon/Langston Hughes, Heitor Villa-Lobos, traditional Greek/folk music and Spirituals, as well as a new chamber piece by Richard Pearson Thomas, with singers, violin, piano, bass, percussion, trumpet, and classical guitar resonating throughout the chapel to lift spirits and encourage…finding peace and hope in challenging times.
Featuring Frank Basile, David Glukh, Jeanai and Giacomo La Vita, Ray Marchia, Chauncey Packer, Naho Parrini, David Romano, Wilma Wever and Kristin Renee Young. Directed by Nancy Rhodes, musical director Richard Pearson Thomas.

This epic film journey led by the renowned Chinese artist-activist, Ai Weiwei, gives a powerful visual expression to the massive human migration that stretches across the globe: from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, France, Greece, and Germany to Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, and Turkey. Urgent stories of the refugee crisis capture their desperate search for safety, shelter and justice, and come at a crucial time when tolerance, compassion and trust are needed more than ever.

Ukrainian violinist Milena Davidowicz and Russian pianist Elena Panova, will perform exciting gypsy and Ukrainian music and will introduce young audiences to playing stringed instruments. Everyone will have the opportunity to play an instrument.
